Select “Edit Slider Icon” upper right corner and press the “Presets” button lower right corner. Locate and import the Preset folder on your computer. Select File > “Import Profiles & Presets” upper left corner. How do I import presets into Lightroom CC? And your presets are now installed into Lightroom! To use your presets, just select any photo you want to edit and click on the Edit icon at the top right corner. Next, select the XMP files you unzipped, and click on Import. ![]() Open, Lightroom CC and navigate to File -> Import Profiles& Presets. To fix this, go to File Handling and uncheck the “Don’t Import Suspected Duplicates” option. When this happens, certain files will appear greyed out and cannot be imported into the catalog. The most common reason Lightroom can’t import your photos is that it believes the files are already imported. ![]() Try plugging in your drive and see if it starts working again. You likely have your files on an external hard drive that isn’t plugged in. External editors require the original file. The most common cause of this is that you are trying to edit Smart Previews in Lightroom with an external editor. (2) You are editing a supported camera raw file. Please ensure that: (1) You are editing a raw file (not jpeg or tiff). Lightroom presets will appear in italics and greyed out because Lightroom recognizes the presets as only partially compatible with the image you are editing.
